Teaching
Teaching forms a significant part of my practice, and I have extensive experience designing and delivering workshops across a broad range of educational settings—from primary and secondary schools to specialist training programmes and university-level courses. I am currently an Associate Lecturer at the University of the Arts London and with The Bridge Company at The BRIT School. I have also taught for Whistling Woods International in Mumbai, The Southern Theatre Arts Centre, and The University of Winchester. Across all contexts, I bring a dynamic, inclusive approach that supports creativity, confidence and professional development.
Inclusive Pedagogy & Student Support
I have built inclusive learning environments for students with diverse access needs—including Autism, ADHD, PTSD, PNES, and and those with hearing or mobility-related access needs—adapting my methods and implementing adjustments to ensure every student can achieve their full potential.
Street Theatre and Immersive Theatre skills in practice
There’s an old theatre saying: “Street theatre is the best training” In public spaces, audiences are free to come and go, so the performer must capture their attention at every moment. Every gesture, every word, every interaction counts—nothing can be taken for granted. It’s a demanding, exhilarating training ground that teaches presence, adaptability, and the art of truly connecting with people. Street and Immersive Theatre demand razor-sharp instincts and real craft. After 2 decades of creating work in streets, public spaces and site-specific worlds, I know how to read an audience, hold their attention and take them with me on a journey. This is more than just technical skill—it’s a deep understanding of people, energy and connection.

My creative health practice is founded on the principles of shared energy, meaningful connection, and the transformative potential of movement and the arts. Combining expertise in clowning, street theatre, fitness instruction and movement facilitation, I design and deliver high-quality engagement sessions within care homes and day centres. These sessions encourage physical activity, nurture relationships, and create space for joy and expression. By integrating my fitness training with creative methodologies, I aim to promote wellbeing in ways that are accessible, inclusive and person-centred. With extensive experience working with vulnerable groups—including individuals with severe disabilities, people with learning disabilities, older adults and those with complex needs—I am committed to enabling every participant to experience the benefits of creative movement in a safe, supportive and uplifting environment.

"Judy has been an amazing practitioner at our older people’s home, many of whom are living with advanced dementia. Judy brings an infectious energy and warmth to every session, and I can see residents light up after interactions with her. She is extremely sensitive to the complex needs of each resident and adapts her exercises and activities accordingly. It is sometimes challenging to elicit a response in some residents, but Judy’s energetic, sunny demeanour can often bring a smile to residents who feel agitated or low.’”
